There are places that reside deep within our hearts, beckoning us to return home. For me, my cherished spots lie in New England, where my roots run deep and where I reside: well-traveled paths, shorelines I've strolled countless times, country roads that whisper stories of times gone by. These sacred spaces often beckon, offering solace, a chance to clear the clutter of everyday life, and renew the spirit. The symphony of crashing waves erasing the static of the day, or the serene quiet of a secluded road where time pauses, captivate me. Observing how sunlight gently touches a surface, or how shadows weave their intricate dance, compels me to pause and reflect. Through these, I strive to capture these fleeting moments with my lens, and transform them into encaustic pieces. The “Landscapes Series” showcased below is a tribute to these encounters, a gesture to the enduring power of places that can never be forgotten.
